Terms & Conditions
Last updated: REPLACE: e.g. 20 October 2026
These terms explain how we work with clients, from booking to delivery, so that everyone knows what to expect. Please read them before booking a shoot.
1. About these terms
These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Dbossmotions Studio ("we", "us"), including video production, photography, documentaries, event coverage, drone services, live-streaming, podcast production and content creation, and to your use of dbmsmedia.com. By booking us or using the site you agree to them. If you have a separate written agreement with us, that agreement takes priority where the two differ.
2. Our services
We provide the services described on our Services page and agreed in your quote or booking confirmation. The scope, number of hours, deliverables, location and date are set out in that quote. Anything outside it is a separate job and may be charged extra.
3. Quotes and booking
- Quotes are valid for REPLACE: e.g. 14 days unless stated otherwise.
- A booking is confirmed only when you accept the quote in writing (WhatsApp, email or signed form) and pay the deposit.
- Dates are not held for you until the deposit is received.
4. Payments
- A deposit of REPLACE: e.g. 50% is due to confirm your booking. The balance is due REPLACE: e.g. before or on the day of delivery.
- Payment is by bank transfer or other methods we confirm in writing. Prices are in Nigerian Naira unless stated.
- Final files are released after full payment.
- Late payments may delay delivery and may attract a reasonable late fee. REPLACE: confirm.
- Deposits are not refundable once a date has been reserved, except as set out in section 5.
5. Cancellations and rescheduling
- To reschedule, give us at least REPLACE: e.g. 72 hours notice. We will move your booking to the next available date, subject to our calendar.
- If you cancel, the deposit is kept to cover reserved time and preparation, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- If we have to cancel because of illness, equipment failure or other reasons within our control, we will offer a new date or a refund of money paid for work not delivered.
6. Client responsibilities
You agree to:
- Give us accurate information, access to the venue and enough time to work.
- Get any permits, permissions and releases needed for the location and for filming or photographing people, including guests at events and children.
- Tell us about any restrictions, safety issues or must-have shots in advance.
- Provide a safe working environment for our team and equipment.
We cannot be responsible for missed shots caused by late access, restricted areas or information not shared with us.
7. Delivery and revisions
- Delivery times are estimates and depend on project size, season and how quickly you give feedback.
- Each video package includes REPLACE: e.g. 2 rounds of reasonable revisions to the agreed brief. Further changes or a change of direction are charged at our standard rate.
- Files are delivered digitally (for example by download link). Please download and back up your files promptly, as links may expire after REPLACE: e.g. 30 days.
8. Ownership and usage rights
- We keep the copyright in all photos, videos, audio and other material we create, unless a written agreement says otherwise.
- After full payment, you receive a licence to use the final deliverables for the purpose agreed in your quote, such as your business, website and social media. Resale, sub-licensing or use for a different purpose needs our written approval.
- Raw footage, unused shots, project files and editing files stay with us and are not included unless agreed and paid for.
- Unless you ask for confidentiality in writing before the job, we may use selected work in our portfolio, website, social media and marketing, and may credit our studio on public posts.
9. Live-streaming, podcasts and technical risks
Live-streams and recordings depend on internet connections, venue power, third-party platforms (such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram or Zoom) and conditions we do not control. We take reasonable steps to prepare backups, but we are not responsible for interruptions caused by outages, platform failures or poor connectivity at the venue. Where a stream fails through our fault, our liability is limited as described in section 11.
10. Drone services
Drone work depends on weather, airspace rules and the permissions required in Nigeria, including those of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and the property owner. We may postpone or refuse a flight if it is unsafe or not permitted. In that case we will offer a new date or an alternative, and no fault is attached to us.
11. Liability
- We take care with your footage and equipment, but we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or loss of opportunity.
- Our total liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
- We are not responsible for events beyond our control (force majeure), such as severe weather, power or network failure, public unrest, government restrictions, illness or accidents. In such cases we will work with you to reschedule where possible.
12. Your behaviour on site and on our website
Please use our website lawfully. Do not copy, scrape or reuse our content, or try to interfere with the site, without our written permission. Content and branding on the site, including text, logos, photos and videos, belongs to us or our clients and is protected by copyright.
13. Third-party content and links
Our site may link to or embed content from other services such as YouTube, Google Maps and Google Drive. We are not responsible for their content or availability. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force on the day you book applies to your job. The date at the top shows when they were last updated.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We will try to settle any dispute through discussion first. If it cannot be resolved, it may be brought before the courts of Lagos State.
